There were 4 problems on adding and subtracting fractions for students to do:

1.) 23 5/16 - 19 23/24

2.) 4/17 + 37/51

3.) 52 2/9 + 27 4/15

4.) 9/32 - 1/24

REMEMBER!!!!

Write them and work them vertically (up and down).

Make common denominators using the LCD! (Use a division ladder to find one).

Reduce when needed (use a division ladder if you need one).
