Homework not due until Wednesday!
This homework is all about trying out the Division Ladder Method. It's going to be VERY useful over the course of the WHOLE year, so give it a good, sincere, try. We're going to practice it much more on Wednesday, in class. Remember, if you mess it all up, you still get a 100 because you tried it. If you don't try it at all, the grade is a 0, but more importantly you miss out on a math practice that will make the concepts easier and easier to work with.
So...
Find BOTH the LCM and the GCF of the numbers using the division ladder method:
1. 12 & 15
2. 48 & 51
3. 27 & 36
4. 10 & 25
Reduce the fractions using he division ladder method: (as best I remember them. The process is the same regardless of the fractions, so these count as well as the ones that were actually on the board. I'll put the real assignment up tomorrow while I'm there, but these will still count just as well.)
5.) 24/88
6.) 39/81
7.) 48/56
Here's a link to a few videos on how to use the division ladder method:
