I would like students to do AT LEAST an hour of IXL. They should master R5: Equivalent Ratios Word Problems and get to about 85% on R9: Unit Rates Word Problems. I have asked that students take a piece of paper and fold it into 6ths. Then they have 12 boxes in which to put their work. They do not have to show work for anything that they can do in their heads. They do need to put the work for more complex problems into ONE box, or adjacent boxes. It's really important that they start trying to be organized when they show their work. They can't check their work if they can't find it, and it's really all about creating successful habits.
